The Celebrity Reflection debuted in 2012 as the fifth and final Solstice Class ship. Since then, Celebrity has introduced the modern, ultra-glamorous Edge Class, but the Reflection, with its art collection, culinary offerings, and entertainment, continues to shine. This is a perfect ship for multi-gen travel, with a greater selection of suite cabins than in any other Celebrity cruise ship and verandas on 85% of the cabins and staterooms.Read More

The Reflection, refreshed in 2022 with a sapphire blue hull, appeals to a sophisticated guest. You won’t find onboard waterslides and rollercoasters, but you will discover elevated dining options and a quieter glamour. The Reflection sails on twenty-six itineraries throughout the Caribbean, some of them including stops at Coco Cay, Celebrity Cruises’ exclusive private island.

The Reflection guest-to-crew ratio is two-to-one, and from room stewards to onboard restaurant hosts to excursion personnel, staff keeps track of passengers’ names and preferences throughout sailings. If cruising on a ship where “everybody knows your name” appeals, Celebrity Reflection is the ship for you.

Staterooms & Cabind

Cabins
Accessibility

All staterooms feature modular closets and under bed storage, expanded safes, rollout trundles, and digital, in-room entertainment. While cabins are roomy—with interior, ocean view, veranda, concierge class, and retreat staterooms at 183-200 square feet—they could use a more modern feel, one that is more in line with the airy Grand Foyer and dazzling shared spaces. The retreat, a two-bedroom signature suite (441 square feet) is available only on the Celebrity Reflection and includes butler service. Cruising by yourself usually comes with a solo supplement, as the Reflection does not offer solo cabins.

AquaClass staterooms include access to the exclusive Blu restaurant and Persian Garden relaxation area. Retreat class cabins give access to an exclusive restaurant, Luminae, and Michael’s, a concierge lounge.

The Reflection contains four wheelchair accessible sky, aqua class, and concierge class suites; eight wheelchair accessible veranda cabins; four wheelchair accessible ocean view cabins; and six wheelchair accessible interior cabins. Also provided are braille in public areas, and upon request are boarding assistance, ASL interpreters, visual-tactile alert kits, accommodations for guests who require dialysis and oxygen, accessible shore excursions, and features geared toward passengers with autism (like camp at sea accommodations for autistic children).

Food & Drink

Dining
Bars

For its size, the Reflection offers a large variety of dining options, with thirteen total venues, six of which are specialty restaurants (and charge a fee). Inclusive options include glamorous Opus Restaurant (where you can choose to dine at a set time or anytime), casual Oceanview Café, and the poolside dining venue, Mast Grill and Bar. Specialty restaurants except Sushi on Five, which is a la carte, come with a set fee. Room service (with the exception of a complimentary continental breakfast) is included with a fee. Standout specialty restaurants include Le Petit Chef, an immersive culinary performance featuring a holographic tiny chef on diners’ plates; Tuscan Grille, which offers a stunning view of the ship’s wake; and Murano, which serves French fare. Specialty restaurants The Lawn Club Grill and Porch conjure East-coast beach vibes. Luminae is reserved for suite guests and Blu is exclusively for AquaClass passengers.

Eleven bars and lounges give passengers myriad ways to utilize their drink package. Celebrity Reflection offers three drink packages: zero proof (unlimited specialty coffees and teas, soft drinks and mocktails); classic (adding like Red Bull, premium waters, beer, wine by the glass, spirits, cocktails and liqueurs priced at $10 or less); and premium (which raises price limit per drink to $17). Martini Bar and Crush wow with a bar top made of ice and World Class Bar bartenders put on a show that rivals Tom Cruise’s in the movie Cocktail. Vacation days that begin at Café Al Bacio for specialty coffee and segue to Sunset Bar and Sky Observation Lounge are the epitome of elevated cruising.

Entertainment

Editor Rating

Production shows in the Reflection Theater range from musical reviews with acrobats and dancers to comedians who offer family friendly and “over 18” sets. Other venues, often featuring live musicians, include the Sky Observation Lounge, Quasar, and the ship’s Grand Foyer. From karaoke to comedy to musical reviews to a silent disco, the entertainment is high-quality but despite early, late, and matinee performances, passengers accustomed to multiple entertainment venues on large ships may wish for more options on a given night.

Spa & Fitness

Editor Rating

The Reflection boasts a complimentary fitness center and fitness classes for a fee. The spa is lovely, if crowded at times. Services are innovative and luxurious, especially the bamboo massage, thousand flower detox wrap, IV-therapy offerings, and Kérastase Salon. The Persian Garden, available complimentary to AquaClass guests and with a fee for other passengers, features an aromatic steam room infused with pure plant essences.

Key cruising tips

Health & Safety

The Celebrity Reflection has many sanitizing stations throughout the ship and more open-air areas for dining and socializing than many ships of this size.

Dress Code

Celebrity tends to attract chic passengers from around the world. Guests are dressed in a smart-casual style with some more formal outfits for dinner, especially in the specialty restaurants. Some sailings do not designate a “formal night,” so passengers who pack long gowns and tuxedos may be disappointed.

Junior Cruisers

While the Reflection lacks thrill rides and waterslides, it boasts Camp at Sea, the only fully customizable kids cruise program in the industry, with over 500 activities. Ages 3-5 enjoy the fully-staffed Shipmates program; ages 6-9 can enroll in a one-of-a-kind nautical program, where they’ll learn the basics of sailing including navigation, time, weather patterns, and more; ages 10-12 are offered scavenger hunts, STEM, various sports competitions, and gaming tournaments; and the Teen Club for ages 12-17, offers a coffee lounge and dance club.

Service

Celebrity staff go above and beyond in the service category. Expect to be recognized and remembered wherever you wander onboard—your room steward will greet you by name and specialty restaurants will record your favorite drinks and any requests. This level of attention makes the Reflection feel like a luxury resort.

Tipping

Guests who choose not to prepay gratuities at the time of booking, and who are not booked on an all included fare, will have a service gratuity automatically applied to their account on a daily basis, with the amount depending on cruise fare: $18.00 per person per day for guests sailing on all inside, oceanview and veranda staterooms; $18.50 per person per day for concierge-class and aqua-class staterooms; and $23 per person per day for retreat staterooms. An automatic gratuity of 20% is added to all pre-cruise and onboard purchases of spa and salon services, beverages and beverage packages, specialty dining and specialty dining packages, room service and mini bar purchases. Gratuities may be modified at guests’ discretion.
