6 week trip in March - where to go

Hi!

I have a 6 week break starting in March, leaving from Buenos Aires and ending in NYC, and looking for ideas of where to go that are fun and safe for a solo 30s woman. I would love to minimize flights where possible, but also take advantage of this rare chance to have so much time off! I'm interested in arts and culture and food, not interested in hiking.

I was thinking of something like:
Buenos Aires - Mendoza (flight)
Mendoza - Santiago (bus)
Santiago - Valparaiso (bus) - Santiago
Santiago - Sydney (flight)
Sydney - Melbourne (train)
Melbourne - Somewhere in southeast Asia? (flight)
Wherever - NYC (flight)

But this is kind of a lot 😂
Australia is somewhat a random choice because there's a direct flight from Chile, but really open to other options! I thought about staying in South America but not sure where.

If you are going to Australia, you must visit New Zealand as well. If you love adventure, then Queenstown would be heaven for you.

You have 6 weeks, not 6 months. I would try to stick to one continent, or two if they are close together.
But that is just me.
