Greetings from an old-time poster (marya, starting in 2005) who is thrilled to be back in Bangkok now for the first time since Covid lockdowns. Very sentimental about how active and inspiring this board was from 2005 to 2019 (the last time we were in BKK). Looking for familiar names here with real trepidation about how everyone has come through the difficult Covid years since so many of us are of a certain age. Thinking gratefully about how much I learned here over twenty years. Please say hello if you are still connected here.

We have been mostly lazing here in BKK so need to get more active. The IconSiam mall that we saw when it was newish in Jan 2019 is now a full-blown local attraction with an evening sound-light-water show that draws multitudes. Even for non-shoppers like me, it is worth seeing.

Hello. Few people from those days post here anymore. Many have migrated to the Fauxdors Friends Facebook group which is very active. We haven’t been back to Bangkok since before the pandemic. I bet it has changed a lot. Enjoy your trip!
