Mexico City - Outdoor Dining in December

Heading to CDMX right before Christmas and one of the restaurants of interest only offers seating outdoors. Just wondering if it would be too chilly that time of year to plan dinner outside. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

The better restaurants will nearly always have patio heaters on outdoor dining areas. But bring a sweater just the same.

We've eaten outside in CDMX in December, like Baldone said, bring a jacket. We were actually surprised how cold it Wasn't when were there once. My wife and I grew up in the Midwest so we know cold. It was funny seeing all of the Mexicans with scarves and puffer jackets and we were like, you know it's not that bad

If you're set on dining outdoors, I’d recommend checking whether the restaurant has outdoor heaters or blankets for guests, many places in CDMX are well-prepared for cooler nights. Also, making your reservation earlier in the evening can be helpful to catch some of the warmth before the temperature drops.

We are here now. The first couple of nights we were eating outside in shorts and tee shirts and it was quite pleasant. The last couple of nights, the temp has dropped considerably and it is long sleeves and long pants ( and last night was indoor dining!) . I can imagine it will be colder still next month so oudoor dining would be out for us.
