international/domestic flights - how much time to allow?
Dear Fodorites,
How much time do you recommend allowing between arriving at San Jose Airport (international), and catching a domestic flight? We are scheduled to land at 8:40 a.m. in San Jose and take a 11:00 domestic flight from Sansa. Barring huge arrival delay, do you think this is enough time?
Thank you!

If it were my vacation, I would have planned on spending a day and night in San Jose, then my domestic flight the next morning, thereby avoiding the stress of worrying about running from one flight to the next. On the other hand, if Sansa does not offer a flight the following day, that would complicate things. Better hope your international flight departs and arrives on time.

Personally speaking, I would never do this. It depends on how risk-averse you are. Remember: There are no ticketing agreements or transfer of bags from international to domestic or vice versa in Costa Rica.
