Breeze Airways review
We are thinking of taking Breeze Airways out of Hartford Ct to Savanah or Charleston in order to visit friends in Hilton Head. We usually fly Delta but it's tempting to take the nonstop rather inexpensive flights that Breeze Airways offers. Has anyone used this airline and how was your experience?

Thank you Jacketwatch. I didn't know about that website. Breeze got quite a few negative reviews but interestingly so did Delta, which is the airline we usually use. I did make the reservations with Breeze because it was nonstop. Unlike the people who posted on the airline quality website, we will drive our own car to the airport and do not have to arrive or depart for any big event so I'm going to take a chance.

Good luck with your flight.

I have no info about Breeze, but I do have other experience on other carriers who have offered these very handy non-stop point to point flights (Frontier, Spirit)....
The issue is "what happens when something goes wrong..." When is the next flight on Breeze that you could get if your flight is cancelled for some reason, including weather back home...?
It may be several days, or more - there really is no Plan B option for that same day. On some routes they may fligh the route only a few times a week, and there is no guarantee you'lll fit on the next flight anyway. With the larger carriers who offer more flight options to get you to your destination sooner.
I had bad luck with one of either Frontier and Spirit when a flight was cancelled (no fault of their own). I was never able to get back home in a reasonable timeframe, and had to book alternate means on my own, on my own dime. I did get a refund from the cancelled flight, but it was far less than the cost of a last minute new ticket. Since then I've stuck with bigger carriers, even if it means a connecting flight.
If you are comfortable with the risk of having a several day delay, or needing to book last minute flights on a different carrier, then go for it. These point-to-point non stops flights can be a great option when they work as planned.

Any Other Airline
This is the 2nd time we tried to fly Breeze and the 2nd time our flight was cancelled at the gate. So disappointed for ruining my son’s 10 year old birthday weekend. We were notified by text the flight was canceled and no one even came to the gate to tell the passengers. We had to exit the gated area and go to arrivals to get some help. Help was take the refund because we have no other options today. Customer service is awful, you can’t call for help and your flights don’t actually take off. I haven’t received my refund as of yet.
