ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
In winter this 5,250-foot-high mountain resort near the Austrian border draws crowds of local families who come for the varied slopes, many of which are well suited to beginners. England's Prince Charles and Princess Anne learned to ski here while visiting the Liechtenstein royal family in Vaduz. In summer Malbun becomes a quiet, unpretentious resort with reasonable prices.
