Hotel recommendation in seville

Hello to all and Happy Holidays!

Looking for a hotel or apartment in Seville, Spain
We're planning to visit in May 2025. We'd like to be near the city center where you can just walk around to tapas bar etc. 3*-4* is fine.

Thanks for the help, Appreciate your inputs!

We enjoyed staying at the Hotel Kvir in Seville in 2023. I recommended it to friends and they just stayed there in October, also loved it. We walked pretty much everywhere from the hotel and there were quite a few good restaurants nearby. It is across the street from the river, staff were helpful, they have a lovely rooftop terrace restaurant for breakfast and serve drinks there at night.

Loads of filters on Booking

If you don't the website reserve directly with the establishment.

There își a family large area that could be considered centrally located. $200-$250 is pretty low for 4-stars but it depends a lot on time of year.
I find the area near the Alcazar too crowded with tourists.
Ditto the Barrio Santa Cruz/Barrio Judio. (Although that has lovely architecture)
It's a pretty walkable city for people in decent shape....look at the El Arenal district and maybe even Triana, across thee river, where prices may be better. I'm not sure about that, though.
There are so many very good hotels there, you will not have a problem unless you are coming during the festival periods.

Casas del Rey de Baeza is very nice..you could begin there, although my stay was a long time ago.....it's part of the Hospes chain.

I agree completely with ekscrunchy that in May a 4-star hotel in Sevilla, such as the Kivir facing the Guadalquivir, may be over your budget (rates start at 230 euros plus per night),
but check booking.com for your specific dates and change the default euro to USD.
But this week my inbox has been filled, overwhelmed, with Black Friday deals, so who knows?

BYW, if your dates are May 6-11, the Feria de Abril (yes not in April but this year in May) will be celebrated, which means that hotel rates will soar.

We regularly stay at the 4-star H10 Casa de la Plata outside of the heavily touristed Barrio de Santa Cruz (more tourist beds there now than residents--this neighborhood, unfortunately is a victim of over tourism) and on the Plaza Nueva in the middle of the center we've stayed at the Hotel Inglaterra and in the very upper northeast corner of the Santa Cruz (very quiet) at the Hospes Casas del Rey de Baeza.
In the future we may try the lovely Gravina, well recommended here, which we recently toured. But these very, very nice 4-stars will be above 250$/night most likely.

The Casa del Maestro and its annex, La Música, although in the Barrio de Santa Cruz, is a Rick Steves favorite, where his tours often stay, and it MAY be available for your dates but slightly above your price range.

Maribel Thanks for the info. It’s very helpful! I always follow you and get ideas on your trip reports and restaurant recommendations. It gives me ideas and inspirations. I will check it out

We loved Gravina 51, but it's probably somewhat over budget. It's a beautiful place in a great location, though. Walkable to everything but on a quiet street.

My inbox has been completely inundated this week with Spanish hotel chains' Black Friday deals. I thought of you when receiving a Black Friday alert for the Petit Palace/Icon chain, which has 5 Seville hotels. The discount code is "backtoblack". I'm a member of their Tripster frequent guest program (free), so I receive an additional discount. You might check them out. Sometimes these Black Friday discounts are a great deal, but at other times, they aren't. I have no experience with these Seville properties, only the Madrid Icon properties, which is the Petit Palace group's signature properties, their "top end" properties..

But again, I love the H10 Casa de la Plata and the Gravina, and also like the Kivir, so perhaps they are offering Black Friday discounts as well.
The discount code for the H10 properties: BLACKDAYS
